Participation at DFG Priority Program 2100
The first funding period of the DFG priority program 2100 – Soft Material Robotic Systems started in July 2019. In collaboration with the Institute of Mechatronic Systems and the Institute of Assembly Technology, the IDS participates in the project “Coherent Methodology for Modelling and Design of Soft Material Robots – The Soft Material Robotics Toolbox (SMaRT)”. The main objective of the proposed project is to acquire a coherent methodology for modelling and design of Soft Material Robot segments. This especially covers the generic determination of enhanced models for describing the kinematics and dynamics under consideration of contact with the environment. All methods are finally transferred into a standardized framework.
