Participation at Priority Program 1897:

Calm, Smooth, and Smart - Novel Approaches for Influencing Vibrations by Means of Deliberately Introduced Dissipation

After the successful participation in the first funding period of the Priority Programme 1897: Calm, Smooth, and Smart - Novel Approaches for Influencing Vibrations by Means of Deliberately Introduced Dissipation, the IDS will also participate in the second period. In the project entitled "A combined numerical-experimental approach for the damping evaluation of non-linear dissipative vibration systems", the theoretical principles developed so far will be transferred into measurement practice from autumn 2019. Non-linear dissipative systems, such as structures damped by friction, will be reproducibly analyzed and evaluated in experiments.
