Piezoelectric Ceramics

Piezoelectric ceramics are unique ferroelectric materials whose piezoelectric properties are available via polarization. Piezoceramics based on binary systems of lead zirconium PbZrO3 and lead titan at PbTiO3 (PZT) are preferred for their excellent, tailored to the particular application, physical properties. Piezoceramics are basically made by conventional processing and thermic reactions of powdered components via mixed oxide method. Thanks to the great variety of possible components that can be produced, piezoceramic materials for electromechanical transducers are widely used in many different mechanical fields.

This seminar will cover the physical basics and essential aspects of practical application in actuator engineering, sensor technology, and vibrational engineering. 

Target Audience

This seminar is targeted at developers and designers in electrical engineering, communications, as well as machinery and vehicle construction, but also graduates in the field of mechatronics.
