On November 17, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting an exciting workshop as part of the “Girls and Technology” (MuT) initiative. This event was designed to inspire young women to explore technical careers by offering hands-on experiences and insights from experienced female scientists.
Our workshop, titled “Hands-On Mechanics,” gave the students the opportunity to learn how to measure and visualize vibrations. They conducted independent experiments and took measurements on a small test bench, allowing them to gain firsthand experience. In a particularly popular part of the workshop, the students also ventured into the exciting world of robotics. They worked on beginner-level programming tasks using educational robots, which was designed to spark their interest in how robots function and are controlled.
We were delighted to welcome young scientists and engineers to the IDS and hope we were able to inspire a passion for engineering.
