As part of the InnoTurbinE joint project funded by the BMWi through AG
Turbo, today's research in turbomachinery contributes to the development of robust and efficient turbines that can also be operated with hydrogen. The simulation tools required for this, being a part of a future digital twin, must be validated experimentally. The IDS is therefore involved in a joint project to develop calculation methods for forced and self-excited vibrations subject to friction nonlinearities of turbine blades, which are also investigated in experiments.
