On August 29, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Böswald presented his research work at the Mechanical Engineering Campus in Garbsen. In a university-public habilitation lecture on the topic of “Use of experimental modal data for substructure coupling,” he presented his results and subsequently convinced the expert audience at the colloquium. His habilitation thesis is entitled „Modalanalyse in der Strukturdynamik“ (Modal Analysis in Structural Dynamics).
After the successful lecture, the habilitation committee decided to award him his habilitation. This is associated with the granting of the venia legendi in the field of structural dynamics.
In addition to his habilitation, Dr. Böswald is already active in research and teaching: He works at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and as an external lecturer at the Institute of Dynamics and Vibrations (IDS), where he supervises the course “Identification of Structural Dynamic Systems.”
