This year's ASME Turbo Expo conference took place in Milan from June 14th 2026 to June 19th 2026. The Institute of Dynamics and Vibration Research (IDS) participated with two technical presentations, including conference papers in the field of structural dynamics.
Yue Xiao's presentation, titled “Forced Response of Geometrically Mistuned Bladed Disks”, examined the influence of geometric deviations in individual blade geometries on the contact conditions of shrouds as well as the resulting nonlinear frequency responses. Additionally, Katharina Brinkmann presented a novel excitation mechanism for use in our rotational test rig II in a contribution titled “Multi-frequent Excitation of Blade Vibrations Under Rotation”.
