Cooperation

with the Institut of Dynamics and Vibration Research

We work in an interdisciplinary way with partners from science and industry.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Wallaschek

We offer companies cooperation on many levels; this includes long-term research cooperations, but also services, pre-competitive research, feasibility studies or seminars. We are well networked nationally and internationally with other research institutions. This results in interdisciplinary, practice-oriented research projects. The results flow directly into our teaching.

Industrial Collective Research

Industrial Collective Research is a mechanism enabling businesses to solve shared problems through shared projects. Collectively with other enterprises and with the support of university institutes, it is possible to realize research projects with high economical and practical relevance. The Institute of Dynamics and Vibration Research is a research centre, for example, for projects carried out by the Research Association for Combustion Engines (Forschungsvereinigung Verbrennungskraftmaschinen e.V., FVV) supported by the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen, AiF) and by the Central Innovation Programme SME (Zentrales Innovationsprogramm für den Mittelstand, ZIM).

National joint research projects

Within the framework of national research projects like AG Turbo, commercial enterprises cooperate with a variety of national university institutes and research centres, addressing topics from application-oriented research in Germany. The research projects of AG Turbo funded by the participating enterprises and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) are embedded in superior research networks like the Flexible Energy Conversion Research Network initiated to promote energy transition in Germany.

International joint Research Projects

The Institute of Dynamics and Vibration Research has been a partner in research projects of the European Union for many years. The focus is on application-oriented topics and challenges in industrial practice, which we work on in cooperation with research institutions and industrial partners. Companies can participate as active research partners with their own research contract or as a companion in a project and thus participate in future-oriented developments.
